Snow covered hills with brilliant visibility was forecast so an early start saw Paul and Ruby at Dungeon Ghyll then off up into the Langdales. This was Ruby’s first foray into the snow and she loved it although she was pretty tired that evening.
This is the procession in 2013, watch out for this year weather permitting.
Stunning day so headed up the Old Man – what a view and surprise. Para-kiters enjoying themselves. Ruby and I did too – we didn’t get back until after 6.00pm.
Second day shooting for Ruby and I. It was partridges near Brampton and just as last time we started off with a lovely double rainbow. First drive she was raring to go and second / third drives she was finding and bringing the birds back herself. What a star! She also found a new friend/mentor – the black lab.
Getting a bit better and still only 9 months!
Went shopping at Booths and was amazed to see they stock 44 different kinds of Gin. Couldn’t make my mind up so bought one of each….
the mist/fog with blue sky above looked as though there may be a chance of an inversion again.
So off up Loughrigg with camera before breakfast….. No inversion but nice walk.
took Ruby up Brant fell before breakfast and got a real treat there was an inversion but unfortunately I didn’t have a camera or even an iphone. A friend supplied these pics to give an idea of the spectacle.
never done it before but we’ve been out collecting sloe berries and blackberries. Why? Sloe gin, blackberry vodka and hedgerow gin with the left overs….
Today she was in at the deep end. On a shoot with everything happening. I think it may have been sensory overload for her with all of the dogs, the guns and the birds. She was absolutely mesmerised and never missed a thing. To say she loved it would be an understatement….
